Love’s just a mountain ‘til it overflows ... Volcano!

Lord Peter Flint and arch-enemy Major Adolph Gruber face off in Pompeii.

Flint was British Secret agent Codename Warlord, one of Warlord’s most popular and enduring strips. In ‘The Man-made Volcano’ (8 pages, including cinematic title page), he fought to stop Gruber reigniting Vesuvius and drowning Allied troops at Salerno in lava.
