On this day, 10 May 1980 ... Here's another brilliant Ron Smith Judge Dredd cover, illustrating episode nine of ‘The Judge Child’ saga in which Dredd, Hershey and co pursue the Tripitaka-esque prophet (kidnapped by the Angel Gang) across the cosmos. Their latest planetary stop-off brings them to the world of Lesser Lingo, on which human colonists seek immortality through the implantation of their personalities into new, younger bodies (a concept not dissimilar to that of the more recent American Reaper storyline in the Judge Dredd Megazine).

Elsewhere this prog, Sam Slade, Robo Hunter, is strictly robo-dancing in style as he hunts down the VIPs kidnapped by the God Droid in 'Day of the Droids'. Smith and Ringer go undercover Geek but face an alien torture squad in The V.C.s. Tornado migrant The Mind of Wolfie Smith sees Wolfie attracting interest from the wrong kind of animal at his digs over the pet shop. And MACH Zero and his son Tommy are the prey in a manhunt across Dartmoor.
