Shiver and cake! It’s a monstrous first birthday treat for this great comic. The issue marked the move of Bob Nixon’s Frankie Stein’s to the front cover, where he would remain for the last seven months of the title’s short run.

Part 1 of Frankie’s Mini Monster Comic Book was the birthday gift. It included a couple of new Creepy Creations in the style of Ken Reid (Lew Stringer has suggested that these might actually have been drawn by Nixon also), adding to the collection of weekly ghouls that he drew for Shiver and Shake’s back cover.
