Spellbound by little devils. This was a cover from Adolfo Usero’s creepy Beware the Mystery Dolls.

Before IPC’s Misty, DC Thomson published Spellbound, which similar ground - tales of mystery and supernatural aimed at girls’ market.

Stylistically, Spellbound wasn’t quite as expansive or groundbreaking as Misty (possibly excepting Starcats), but there’s a scratchy claustrophobia to a lot of the art, typified by Usero here that gives it a uniquely haunting feel.
